Although famous for our award winning pies and succulent steaks, our menu also contains an interesting balance of classic & contemporary British food, with an international twist here and there.
Just like our attitude to sourcing good wine, we work hard at finding good quality suppliers and producers and try to use local businesses wherever possible. We try very hard to serve food that has been sourced and prepared with integrity.
Our Wine & Drinks
When selecting wines we look for value, personality and credibility. We try to list the weird and wonderful as well as the classic, so you can either choose a favourite, or a region/grape variety you may have never heard of.
We have a wealth of experience and are waiting to provide you with guidance or recommendations if needed; owner, Martin Day, has been in and around the wine trade for nearly 20 years, including a stint as a buyer for one of the country's largest wine merchants. In addition, many of our staff are WSET qualified, so there is always someone here to help you select the perfect glass or bottle.
Our wine list always has around 150 bottles to choose from, and we always list around 40 wines by the glass or carafe, giving you the opportunity to explore styles, regions and varieties without breaking the bank.
