About the Event
The Pipe of Port were one of the first restaurants in the UK to list Nyetimber back in 1996. Back then they didn't deliver, so Martin and Steve would take it in turns driving to West Sussex to pick up the wine and spend a couple of hours in the company of the original owners, Stuart and Sandy Moss. The impact that the winery has had in the past 30 years on the industry has been seismic - who'd have thought, when they were the first to plant vines specifically for sparkling wine in the UK back in 1989, that they would be the catalyst for a World-beating category.
