Tim Kirk has transferred his academiclife to his family vineyard. In doing so he has brought it to very hiogh acclaim. This grape flourishes in his hands. Nowhere in the world outside the Rhone can anyone touch this. Classic full body, pear, ginger and honeysuckle. It has a silky texture and lovely refreshing acidity.

In the fiercely hot Hunter Valley, the wines can be very fat and flabby. This is definitely not. Big and bold it is, but with peaches & cream, nuts and toasty and a slap of zest, it’s really a smacker
